Brian Pawson

Brian became Club President in 2003 having been Club Captain the previous year. He took over the Sunday Clutch in 1998 and continues running this social 'Texas Scramble' every Sunday (Winter & Summer). He was responsible for starting & organising one of our more popular Competitions – Sponsor's Day – which takes place in May each year.

Brian is usually the first contact between the Committee & New members and can be found at the Club most mornings - Monday to Saturday and in the afternoons on Sundays. Always approachable if you want to know anything about the Club, Competitions or Rules. If he doesn't know the answer he will find out for you.

Roy became a member of LHGC before the club had even opened. He sat on the inaugural committee in the position of Greens Committee Chairman. One of only a few founding members left at the club. He stepped down from the committee after four years due to family commitments and rejoined the Committee again in February 2009 as Vice Captain now that the family have grown up.

He is known for playing in all conditions and for his attire of shorts and t-shirt throughout the season. He represented the Rabbits Team in the early years and then was a member of the league winning Tigers Team before becoming the Tigers Team Captain in 2009.

Treasurer

Vince Johnson

Vince joined Lofthouse Hill Golf Club in 1998. He joined the committee in 2004, became Club Treasurer in 2006 and was the Club Captain in 2008.

As a player, Vince has played for the Tigers for a number of years and was their team captain in 2007. His greatest achievement was in 2005 when he won the Club Championship.

Lady Captain

Glynnis Blackwell

Glynnis joined Lofthouse Hill Golf Club in 2002. She had a short spell on the committee in 2006, but had to leave for six months for personal reasons, and rejoined again in 2007. Glynnis became the Lady Vice Captain in 2009 and is now the Lady Captain for 2010.

Her wishes for this year are for fine golfing weather, our ladies to play well, but most of all for her to enjoy her time as Captain.

Andrea Marshall

Andrea joined Lofthouse Hill Golf Club along with her husband in 2006. She had no previous experience of the game. She said, "all members at the club were very helpful and I soon got the swing of the game". She joined the Ladies Committee in 2009 and the Handicap Committee in 2010.

Andrea is very committed to expanding Lofthouse Hill's excellent ladies section and to offer the same warm welcome, that she received, to all new players and future members.

She aims this season is to have a successful ladies open day and give full support to our Lady Captain.

Handicap Secretary

Kevin Nicholls

Kevin is one of the founder members and was Rabbits Captain in 2001. He then became the Club Captain 2003 and he is now in his second stint on the Committee as the Handicap Secretary.

Kevin is also a very active member of the social side as the DJ at most of the clubs social events and Stars in their Eyes.
