CHARITY RACE NIGHT
 

We will be holding 8 carded races on the night each with 8 horses running. Club members and their guests will bet on each race. A percentage of the takings for each race will be paid back to the betting on the winning horse. The remainder will all go to boost the Captains' charity fund.

We will aim to have representatives from all of the charities so that we can present each of them with cheque at the end of the evening.

We are seeking sponsors for races, horse owners and jockeys.
£25 To sponsor a race, £3 To own a horse, £3 To own a jockey.

We will advertise all race sponsor within the clubhouse. The Winning horse owner and winning jockey of each race will both win themselves a bottle of wine.

Committee news
After a poor turnout on the evening of Sponsors' Day, the Committee have agreed that presentations from now onward, the Club will run a NO SHOW, NO PRIZE policy.

Announcements
New stroke indexes have now been introduced on holes 2, 6, 8 & 9.

The Sunday Clutch each Sunday afternoon in being attended less and less each week. Most weeks only 9 or 10 players are turning up. We may look at running this fun competition on a once per month basis unless attendances improve.

Event news
Captain's Away Day will take place on Thursday 26th August at Wetherby Golf Club. Please add you name onto the list on the Club notice board if you would like to attend. Deposits due by Sunday 1st August with the balance due by Sun 21st August.

Ladies Open Day will take place on Wed 4th August, See the Ladies team page for your tee times.

Seniors Away Day has been booked at Wooley Park Golf Club and will take place on Wed 8th September. A notice will be posted on the Senior's Section notice board. Cost £33 plus £4 toward prizes and twos club.
