CHARITY RACE NIGHT 2012

The Club Captain, Phill Moon, and Lady Captain, Andrea Marshall, are both are extremely proud of the Club’s fundraising activities throughout 2011. Numerous events were held throughout the year and the charity race evening held on Feb 10th 2012 was the icing on the cake.

Prior to this evening the Club had raised over £3,000 for the charity fund: The Club Charity Day in August raised over £1,000 as did the the Fun Day in July were Andy Watson had his locks chopped off and other gents underwent the wax treatment, ouch!!!!. Added to that were the funds raised during the Captain’s Day and Lady Captain’s Day. Other activities have included “Guess the Captain's drive distances” on our Captains’ Drive in, parking space raffle and many others.

We had a number of different and new sponsors throughout the year. We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you. Also we must give a massive thank you for the incredible generosity shown by all of the members at Lofthouse Hill Golf Club. Every year you dig into your pocket to support our Club Charities.

Representatives from all of the charities, Guide Dogs for the blind, NSPCC and the Motor Neurone Disease Association were present to receive cheques at the end of the evening. In total we raised £4,000 for the charities. A fantastic effort, THANK YOU.
