Our 10th Annual Sponsors Day Competition was held on Saturday 22nd May 2010.
120 golfers took part in an Individual Stableford Competition for prizes which had been sponsored by local firms and Club members. The total value of the prizes donated this year was £2214.50p.
The
overall winner of the Competition was Danny Brown who, playing off a handicap of 5 shot a new Course record of 68 gross (43 points), Runner Up was Allan Wainwright 42 points. Congratulations to all our winners but especially to Danny whose handicap is now 3.9

Committee news
After a poor turnout on the evening of Sponsors' Day, the Committee have agreed that presentations from now onward, the Club will run a NO SHOW, NO PRIZE policy.

Announcements
New stroke indexes have now been introduced on holes 2, 6, 8 & 9.
The Sunday Clutch each Sunday afternoon in being attended less and less each week. Most weeks only 9 or 10 players are turning up. We may look at running this fun competition on a once per month basis unless attendances improve.

Event news
Captain's Away Day will take place on Thursday 26th August at Wetherby Golf Club. Please add you name onto the list on the Club notice board if you would like to attend. Deposits due by Sunday 1st August with the balance due by Sun 21st August.
Ladies Open Day will take place on Wed 4th August, See the Ladies team page for your tee times.
Seniors Away Day has been booked at Wooley Park Golf Club and will take place on Wed 8th September. A notice will be posted on the Senior's Section notice board. Cost £33 plus £4 toward prizes and twos club.
